Metho is ok as long as your not going to moly coat as it does leave some residues that will upset the coating process . Other than that metho will do .

Meths usually has a dye in it. After the alcohol evaporates, there will be a trace of that dye remaining.
Isopropyl alcohol, or even brake cleaner, might be a better option.
But, having got the bore so scrupulously clean, make sure that your corrosion protection is up to scratch :)

yea it gets a good going over with meths then hoppes 9 then an oily patch

With Hoppes no 9 avoid breathing the fumes as it's got methanol in it and it's very bad for you .

Damn Ive been using it as aftershave :thumbsup:

Could have been worse you could have been drinking it like a saw a guy once drink telephone disinfectant and I had to scrape up the spew as evidence .
