Reloading for Lithgow 308

I’ve been looking for information on where to start my seating depths , I’ve got a Lithgow la102 in 308 . Do I go 20 thou from the lands or less I’m using 2206H with various pills ,150 Nossler ,168 Hornady hpbt . Any information would be appreciated .

Start with standard magazine length, which should be 2.800".
You can certainly load them longer than that if your throat allows it but then you have to single-load them.

Like Blade said, if you are feeding them from a mag, then that will dictate your maximum COAL. If you are single feeding it for a target load, I start with it just off the lands. Once it is shooting I can find tune it with a jump test from jam to 100 thou jump. The further you seat the pill out, the bigger you effectively make the case, and the more powder to can shove in there.

Mate I used to chase the lands when loading. I just use the COAL as advertised in the reloading data you’re using and to be honest mate I have found little or no difference.
These results will no doubt be different in others experiences however this is what I have found.
