[This loading is for a .223 Rem]
I've loaded both 68gn BTHP Match Hornadys, as well as 75gn BTHP Match Hornadys, using AR2208.
I use 24.5gns AR2208 in the 69gn pills; running through a Howa 1500 (1:9" twist), using CCI SRP400 primers, and a COAL of 2.265".
I use 24.0gns AR2208 in the 75gn pills; running through a Tikka CTR (1:8" twist), using CCI SRP400 primers, and a COAL of 2.265".
[NOTE:- This loading is what I find works for my rifles:- USE CAUTION IN DEVELOPING YOUR OWN LOAD.]
No doubt I could tweak the loads for both rifles, to get the best from them, but we were pressed for time, and they both seem to be shooting MOA or better for me to not bother chasing it.
The Tikka cases show slightly more pressure than the Howa, but nowhere near hot enough to cause problems, or look like either the cases or the rifle are suffering.
Overseer loves the 68gn pills in his Howa, and I find the 75gn pills work really well in the CTR.
Both are much more effective on pigs(our current issue), than the standard 55gn pills.
I just took delivery of some REXEM pills; the 69 BTHP F-Bombs, and the 75gn F-Bombs.
HOPING to get time to load some up for my CTR tomorrow..
