Unburnt powder in 38SP

Hi i loaded some 38 sp with 6 gr of AP 100 165 gr rnfp and noticed unburnt powder has anyone struck this before. thanks joe

I am not a pistol man but too much unburnt powder indicates low chamber pressure or powder too slow or barrel too short or even bullet diameter too small .
Try a harder crimp and if that don't help try a faster powder with an appropriately adjusted charge weight . A few grains of unburnt powder is not uncommon . Revolvers loose some pressure at the gap compared to pistols and rifles firing from a closed chamber .

Yes find some ap70 or something with a similar burn rate ap100 is way too slow or do what I did years ago if it's a k frame trim some 357 Magnum brass and up your powder charge
