5050 powder in 9mm in WA - any luck?

Post by ob1 » 07 Feb 2023, 4:03 pm

Is anyone having any luck loading 5050 with 9mm?
Thinking of getting a Shadow 2, but do not want the misery if there is no clean load available in 5050.
Unburnt flakes, dirt, etc are deal killers. Sorted it out in 38 Super, wondering what the magic load is for 9mm.

Never heard of it but I did find some talk about it.

I think I'd rather stick with scavenging powder from shotshells. But if you've got it working in .38Super I'd give it a go in the 9mm and see how it goes. The load data is on the bottle apparently, though only for cast bullets. I would think dirty powder is still far better than no powder at all.
