Hello

Deleted and re-posted in correct category.
Given the amount of help I've had from forums and those testing loads with different powders I wanted to post my results from loading my 3006. I hope this will help someone.

Chrono: Magnetospeed V3
Rifle: CZ 550 24" barrel 3006
Brass: Starline
Primer: Fed 210M
Powder: AR2209/H4350
Projectile: Hornady CX 150g

Keep in mind, the CX is substantially longer than the GMX of same weight due to design. Book data 54-57.8g for E-tip on ADI website. All single shots except the 57.8g.
55g - 2782fps
55.5g 2793fps
56g - 2796fps
56.5g - 2824fps
57g - 2836fps
57.5g - 2854fps
57.8g - 2869fps (Average of 5 shots).

57.8g was significantly compressed. not possible to ad any more powder. Velocity was off book by about 50fps, 2920 for book. There was one shot that was 2909fps.

I thought a 150 would provide a significant improvement over the 165 in velocity. However, it appears 2800 is attainable with 165g CX, I will try this next and post results. Id rather a extra 15grains and better bc over 50fps.

I choronod some factory ammo

Winchester 180g X SP 3006 - 2654 average 10 shots.
Sako 180g TSX 3006 - 2750fps average. Noticeably more recoil than the winchester so I believe these readings are credible.

Tested 3 shots of previous load tested by 2 choronographs and had same result from those loads just to double check.

NO pressure signs, infact factory Sako ammo primer looked slightly flattened, book data for the 150g is at 58kpsi using the e-tip.

Your load is your responsibility, always start low work up, follow manual at all times, YMMV.
