AR2207 in the 300AAC

G’day Gents

Given the shortage of AR2205, is there anyone out there loading their 300 Blackout with AR2207, in particular with projectiles lighter than the listed 180gn ?

On this site if u do a search on march 16 this year a bloke posted promising results with 125 Speer tnt and 2207. Between 19-21.5 grains. He mentioned he got his data from published data on another powder that has a burn rate very close to 2207 … I reckon this could be exactly the info u are looking for. I’m glad I found it too because I think I have roughly 1.5 bottles of 2205 and oodles of 2207

Thank you very much mate. Sincerely appreciate the information. I am down to my last few bottles too. I was thinking 2207 might be a bit slow for 125gn pills however that is good to know.

Hey mate. I'm the bloke being talked about.

I have a load working well with 125gr Speer TNT's over 21gr of 2207, with an OAL of 2.1" and moderate crimp. Returns 2050fps and 1 MOA accuracy out of a 16" barreled Ruger American Ranch.

I'm using recycled Winchester Super Suppressed brass and have been up as high as 22gr/2150fps.

I'd recommend starting at 19gr and laddering up from there.
