6.5-300WBY results

Work up load, your results may vary, follow correct loading procedures. Being a new projectile line (newish), thought it may help people. YES, i did do a Barnes LRX 127gr comparison.

Rifle: Weatherby Mk5 Weathermark (26" barrel, no brake)
Brass: Weatherby
Primer: Winchester Magnum LR
Powder: Retumbo / AR2225
Projectile: Hornady CX 130 grain

Chrono - magneto speed v3
130CX
72 - 3167
73 - 3200
74 - 3212
74.5 - 3236
75 - 3203, 3194, 3179 (12.5mm)
75.5 - 3233, 3248, 3212 (13mm)
76 - 3256, 3242, 3232 (10mm)
76.5 - 3280, 3254, 3259 (8mm group!)
77 - 3296, 3286, 3271 (15mm) (Mild crater)
77.5 - 3305, 3332, 3325 (25mm) (PRIMER CRATER) (barrel was hot to touch - sorry guys patience was running thin having to wait so long every 3 shots)

As my usual experience, slower than the LRX (barnes always gives me the most speed and least pressure)
Below: Same as above except 127 gr LRX barnes bullet used
127 LRX
76 - 3298, 3270, 3297
77.5 - 3388, 3370, 3372 (12mm group) No crater.

Book max is higher, didnt want to go there.
BOOX MAX ADI - 3343FPS - 78.8grains

Just hope it helps someone, i always liked this information before I had a chorno so I could estimate velocity. Velocity and pressure will vary from rifle to rifle, some people just like the info to get an idea.

recoil was mild imo, like a 3006. Having said that my rifle scoped weighs 4.7kg.

ALWAYS work up your load, your load is your responsibility, i take no responsibility for the information above.
