Tough to get ADI powder here...

Post by Turkle » 02 Sep 2013, 2:50 pm

Hi all,

Not sure if everyone else is having the same problems in their areas...

I started reloading a little while ago and all is well, but I'm now getting to the end of the reloading supplies I purchased when I started and am having trouble finding ADI power.

2206H and 2208 specifically.

I've checked at my 2 local gun stores in SE Melbourne here with no luck. Is everyone having the same problems?

Where to get powder from... :(

I thought I read somewhere that the 2206 powders were discontinued?

That could be half your problem right there.

I think you'll find that 2206H replaced 2206.

They didn't discontinue 2206 as a range of powders, just the one powder specifically.
See you on the firing line.

The tail of the latest "scare" in the US I guess.

Same old rubbish, someone talks about gun control over there and everyone goes bananas and buys up everything they can which stems the flow internationally, e.g. to us.

Fact of life that we get dry spells when in comes to guns/ammo here in Aus.

Plan ahead a bit where you can if shopping for rifles, and stock up on reloading components when dealers have them in stock...

It's been a lot better lately.

The coffers are all refilled now I guess.

This is it plus a lot of dealers like to sell guns and factory ammo , and not stock a lot of reloading gear .

After my LGS had trouble last time with the transport problems , he has made sure this time and has ample powder reserves

Plus good ol Winchester Australia are the wholesalers and we all know what they are like for service
