Me again with more results - for those looking to get estimates and itch that scratch, we know every gun is different bla bla but just for those interested with aussie powders
YOUR LOAD Is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY - follow all safe procedures, work up slowly etc. This is purely for entertainment.
Goal was to get low recoil loads replicate 44mag (why i dont just buy a 44mag, because I dont want to and NSW gun limit now so
TRIALBOSS
SPEER DCHP 240Grain

% of case fill/GRAIN/FPS
70% 11.5 1095, 1051, 1033
80% 13 1178, 1205, 1189, 1191
90% 14.5 1233, 1247, 1222, 1251 (MOST ACCURATE)

AR2207 DCHP 240GRAIN
44g = 2118, 2096, 2110, 2111 (MOST ACCURATE - of all INCLUDING TRIALBOSS)
40g = 1890, 1834, 1830
The interesting part! Over 44 grains diminished gains Note out of the 22" Marlin 46.5 got early 2400fps.
AR2207 CONTINUED
45g 2174, 2139, 2174
46g 2228, 2219, 2220 (Accurate - but not as much as 44g)
47g 2279, 2291, 2300 (recoil is noticeably heavier - accuracy not very good)

AR2207 200G SPEER DCHP

44g - 2115 (sorry just one)
COMPARISON
XPB 45.8g AR2207
Marlin 22" = 2398 FPS
Marlin 16.5" = 2225 FPS
Loss = 173FPS
240XTP 46g AR2207
Marlin 22" = 2402 FPS
Marlin 16.5" = 2225 FPS
Loss = 177FPS
300XTP 50g AR2206H
Marlin 22" = 2080FPS
Marlin 16.5" = 1903FPS
Loss = 177FPS
I thought i would see big differences in losses given powder type/projectile weight etc - but all essentially the same. YMMV.
Always work up slowly, follow book data and engage in safe loading practices. Your load = Your responsibility.
