Reduced loads for high velocity in the Swedish Mauser?

Post by andym79 » 23 Jul 2014, 8:26 pm

Hi guys does anyone use AR2208, AR2209 or AR2213SC in the 6.5x55 with cast boolits in order to get high velocity with moderate pressure?

The ADI manual list these loads, obviously they are for jacketed and not cast. A lower charge would be required to get the same performance from a cast bullet.

AR2208 .264" 3.030" 32.5 2,312 fps 37,500 CUP 36.0 2,528 fps 46,000 CUP
AR2209 .264" 3.030" 39.5 2,418 fps 38,600 CUP 44.0 2,617 fps 45,700 CUP
AR2213SC .264" 3.030" 42.5 2,382 fps 38,100 CUP 47.0 2,586 fps 45,700 CUP

Has anyone experimented with this or better does anyone have published data relating to this sort of thing?

Contact ADI on Friday Morning got a reply back this afternoon. Basically stating they had not tested cast in the 6.5x55 nor had Hodgdon and that they had no advice for me!
