45-70 load for Hawkesbury River 405gr

Post by Grnn » 07 Sep 2014, 5:48 am

Anybody been loading the 405gr Copperhawkes for a 45-70 Marlin 1895 or equivalent?

I'm looking at an ADI powder for mine.

Cheers.

Go to the ADI site.

Yoo many ask that sort of question here, one day some d**khead is going to give his "favourite buffalo killing, croc handbag making, pigs ear" load which will blow up in your face, so always get loads from the makers charts.

I have been guilty of giving info myself. But who am I ? I could be as stupid as the worst.

BB, not chasing someone's secret recipe, I should have been clearer in the post - how well do these shoot, what powders work best, what speed provides best accuracy? This is a reloading forum after all.

The manuals give you the recipe not how well it shoots.

Cheers

You know that scene in the A-Team where he is seasoning the steak on the BBQ which shotgun shells?

Not a movie... That was a few minutes of home footage
