G'day Guys and Girls, stumbled onto this ADI page while trying to find the ADI equivalent of Varget. Very useful stuff so I thought I'd share, sorry If it's been posted before, but I couldnt find it.

I am sure you are all over this however you seem to be conflating true equivalence with burn rate equivalent. There is a list of ADI powders that are made here for Hodgdon and re-packaged by them - they are exactly the same and can be used 1:1

ADI Powder.......... Hodgdon naming
AS30N.................Clays
Trail Boss.............Trail Boss
AS50N.................International
AP70N.................Universal
AR2205...............H4227
AR2207...............H4198
AR2219...............H322
BM2....................Benchmark
AR2206H.............H4895
AR2208...............Varget
AR2209...............H4350
AR2213SC...........H4831 / H4831SC
AR2217...............H1000
AR2225...............Retumbo
AR2218...............H50BMG

Burning rate equivalent charts like the one at the back of the ADI booklet cannot be used to extrapolate loading information. However they do provide useful information guiding powder choice if you usual favourite powder is not available.

I found the data for 2208 to be pretty spot on for Varget.
If it's not wood and blued steel, it's not one of mine

Hey Headpsace, I THINK varget is actually made by ADI and is actually 2208. I know ADI makes a butt load of Hodgsons powder too.

Varget is AR2208, produced in Australia and re-packaged in the USA by Hodgdon. As per the above table they are exactly the same powder.

How nice it would be if they just packaged it all under the same brand so we could easily follow it :?
