Anyone had a shot with Bullzi projectiles?

Swaged or their hardcast stuff?

Cheers.

As far as I can see on their site they say they are swaged alloy bullets with coatings. However a few look cast to me.

Never heard of them before. None of the bullets shown will do anything more than a home cast bullet can do anyway.

If you really want top consistency in a projectile you have to make them yourself.

Neither had I. Can't even remember where I got the name from now.

Might not be amazing, just looking to try something new.

I'm thinking about it.

We'll see what happens, I always have the local pros here to fall back on for advice anyway

I have used Bullzi.

The swaged 38 148HBWC are in my opinion the most accurate projectile you can buy for target shooting.
2.7 ~ 3.2 of Win 231 or WST, projectile seated all the way in the case. Magic.

The hard cast has had received a bad reputation over the last few years due leading issues.
I have experienced this leading issue with my last batch only and it’s real. I solved by rolling in alox something that should never have to be done on commercial projectiles.Prior to this I was very happy with their hard cast as well.

Several years ago they were mainly used by service match and action match shooters, very highly regarded then. In the past few years it appears they have lost favour, and most people now appear to favour Black Widow or other coated projectiles, it appears Adelaide has also a top quality manufacturer in all projectiles, guess the freight mainly favour local production.

Why not get even more complicated, Bullet Swaging Looks like it would be fun, but you'd really need to shoot a lot to break even.
Starts with sizing cast bullets, then evolves to gas checks, right through to jacketed boat tail speer points.

The start up costs are a little prohibitive which is a shame for many.

Yes it can be fun and you can experiment heaps with weights and point types, centre of gravity etc, but as a later post said it cost a lot of money to start up. I only make .224 pills and I will need to shoot many thousands to break even. I may never get there, but I didn't start swaging to make money. I enjoy the process and the experience.

I'm just starting to get into casting myself for these reasons.

Not actually interested in casting bullets, but going to do some aluminium to try some furniture or gold for jewellery.

All sure to be good fun :)
