I have removed many primers, including upside down ones, without a problem - just take it gently...

Normally takes quite a wack to make a primer go off, I guess most of us have experienced a light strike before.
But then you see stuff on Screwtube where some progressive press has shot bits though the ceiling makes you wonder.
Never had to do it myself but I’d try it if I had a reason to.
I’d just be sure to have plenty of protection, and not have the powder thrower on the press :problem:

I've seen two such instances I think after that fact, the story is always 'using the press as normal' but without examining the thing who knows.

You don't really know the setup, how hard/fast the brass was run into the die, primer/case condition before hand, twisted case apply unusual pressure or something. Who knows.

Stopping shy of giving others advice on the subject but I've also removed live primers and reused with no with problem. Just treat them with respect as you do all firearms and propellants.

Yeah that's the key, it's just to easy to become complacent when you've "done it a thousand times"
I use "Change your clock change your smoke alarm batterys ---> review your procedures"
That way someone else reminds me twice a year :D

^^^ Yeah I've done that to.
You start looking round for the baby bird stuck in the roof. :wtf:
The ones I've got give of this quiet little squeak at random intervals when the batteries are flat

Mine sound like screeching rubber.

No chance of missing it. Especially when the battery reaches the low point at 3:00am :problem:

^^^ What brand?
I want to avoid them, I’m over annoying electronic noisy crap.
Our oven timer goes off every time we have a power dip, which is every week these days and as you say it always seems to be at 3am.
