Do you find you're getting a bit more velocity compared to others? That's what I read about Remington.

Don't know about that one Farmjer , I only use them because they're cheap and hardy.
Let's look at it , Two Cases , Two Brands , Say Rem and Win for argument sake
Same Projectile
Same Primer
Same Powder Charge
Shooting out of the same rifle
I have never done a comparison!
I know different brand case's can have slightly different capacities, But the only velocity difference I can see with this scenario is with full case or compressed loads.
Anyone add to this ?

I haven't done the testing myself but from what guys more in the know than me have said here it's down to the Remington case walls being a bit thicker making a slightly higher velocity burn from the extra compression.

I think so.

Remington brass for me was a little bit less accurate so I haven't used it as much, but POI was marginally higher.

Not a result of in depth testing I'll add so others experience may vary but that's what I observed.

I weighed some Winchester cases and some Hornady cases in 243 and the difference was minimal. I can basically duplicate the load in either case from a pressure point of view but I'll have to chrono some of each to see if there's any velocity differences. Hell, there's velocity differences in the same brand let alone swapping.

There will be some difference of course.

20 fps? 30fps?

Not enough to matter for most.

I still keep both breeds separate, but for hunting it's not really a drama. I'm not operating on max anyway, well at least there's no signs of pressure.

You won't notice a 30fps difference for hunting at all.

Zeroed for 100m a 30fps difference would be something like 0.1" variance in drop at 200m.
