Short answer - yep, can be addictive. Especially if you're chasing tack driving ammo.

Long answer - I save heaps by reloading pistol ammo (plus you keep learning little tricks) and playing with all the gadgets you can get these days makes it interesting to learn about ballistics and associated topics. You never stop learning, which is the fun bit.

The veggie fiber wads go on top of the powder to protect the base of the cast lead bullet from the heat and to inhibit lube contamination of the powder in hot weather. They're quite a tight fit in the cases. Yes,our club shoots to 600 yards on the gong shoot days and not a telescopic sight on the range - it's all done with vernier sights. The front post is changeable to suit light and target conditions and type.

Long answer I was going to say was 'yes, it can be to start. After you've done a few thousand rounds it's like pulling teeth'

G'Day Ladies and Gents,

Hell yeah Noisy Lady, its a great hobby!
My best advice, is to purchase a reloading manual or two, and read them from front to back!
If you have no Engineering knowledge and experience, the Nick Harvey or Nosler Manuals may be a better choice, as they appear to have been written by people that realise Engineers won't be reading them!
Also, always be wary of so much of the reloading advice (so often, just speculative BS), that you read on the "Interweb"!!!

Hope that helps

She's doing well and trawling thruogh catalogues, buying bullets and Started casting her own 500 gn bullets, using the powder drop tube, making wax based bullet lubes - the whole 9 yards! Well she has learned!

Is lady noisy really a lady? Or are we being duped? Reloading is a blokes game.

The wads are blown out with the bullet. Cloth patches used on round ball in muzzle loaders are sometimes seen a few metres down range smoking and smoldering.
