ADI powder

Post by bluerob » 24 Jul 2015, 11:49 am

Has anyone heard as to when the 3 new distributors of ADI powder are going to start distributing it?

I'm chasing pistol powder. I have a few full AP50 & AP70 left, but, getting lower.

It's rarer than rocking horse crap.

Cheers & best wishes to all.

From the ADI Main Page.....

"ADI Powders and Ammunition will be available to dealers through OSA and NIOA from mid-August 2015."

BUT........it might be available to Dealers, how long will it take to get it to them.....??

Thanks for that. I saw that on their web page. I tried calling, but, no answer.

I was hearing around the range that I was Mid July, ready at the dealers by early-mid August, depending on transport logistics. I'd happily drive to collect 4kg of AP50.

Thanks again.

As far as I know the new distributors have "started" distributing 2-3 weeks ago.

Though I believe that's when the arrangement started, it will take some time for the supply pipeline to fill.

Should improve over the next few weeks hopefully.

Has anyone heard anything further?

I've called 4 different gun stores and had 4 different answers.

I don't know about other types but I got some AR2208 last week from a shop that hadn't had any for 2 months so it is starting to flow.
There's always room for at least one more gun in my safe.

My local said its flowing but their filling back orders as they're piled up as you'd expect.

A few weeks to get on top of things and it should hopefully be business as usual. So they say.

I'm chasing ADI pistol powder. I've got enough rifle, but, some AP50 would be nice.

I got 2kg of AP100 late last week without any trouble but AP70 wasn't in stock. Picking up 4kg of AR2218 this afternoon which is in stock so I think the powders are generally available but shops are not holding much powder in stock these days possibly.

When it comes to powder, the 2 things I hear the most from dealers is;
1- "I dont have that powder"
2- The price is increasing next week/next month / next shipment

So it pay to stock up, when you've chosen you're preferred powder - buy a jug, or 2!

Apart from the obvious up front cost you save quite a bit in bulk....

As far as difficulties in sourcing ADI..... its a disgrace that 1 either Thales or our own effed up DG laws seem to favour the export market (Hodgdon) regardless of statements to the contrary and 2 its CHEAPER, half price?? or less in the USA.... you could effectively factor in shipping and buy ADI cheaper over there.... if you could get it shipped of course..
