Hornandy .308 150gr sp interlock data?

Post by la101 » 20 Dec 2015, 1:14 pm

Hi

I am looking for any load data ie min and max for either 2206h or benchmark 2. My ADI manual does not have any data for this projectile.

Cheers

Which cartridge do you propose to load? 308Win, 30-06, 7.82Warbird etc etc? As an example, 308Win using 2206h would load 37.7g @ 2300fps to 46.4g @ 2800fps (MAX) Data-Hornady Handbook. Buy a subscription to loaddata.com (cheap!!) and all your questions will be answered, more or less. You will still get better results using 2208 or 2209, Cheers.

From memory i used 45-46 grains and that worked really well with the projectile you have. Kills goats well too :-)

Thanks for the replies

I honestly gave up and bought the proper adi reloading manual a few days after posting this question,

I ended up with test .308 win rounds between 43 grains and stepped up to 45.5 grains of 2206h. they all worked well.

Once again thanks for taking the time.

While a lot of manuals list a few different projectiles in their load data example they won't list all so you'll come up against this a lot.

Most important is weight of course, beyond that using data from a similar bullet is fine.

I can't really see where it would come up but just for example you'd want to be more careful using data from a round nose flat base to load a long boat tail match bullet or vice versa. Odd example though TBH.

If they're providing data for one softpoint though it will be good enough for a similar softpoint like the Interlock.
