Barnes TTSX 130grain 308w seating depth?

Post by Goshawk » 14 Apr 2016, 6:34 am

Hi all,
Does anyone here use barnes ttsx 130gr in their 308w?
Question -
- What's your overall length for your rounds?
- do you crimp the rounds? And if you do. Do you crimp it in one of the groves?

I am planning on using 2208/Varget for powder. Using the min-max suggested by barnes.

Cheers

It's been a while but if memory serves COAL was 2.900" in my Ruger Hawkeye.

No crimp, neck of the case sat right on the cusp of the top groove so there was a slight inward curve happening but no deliberate "crimp".

Doesn't seem like so many people are shooting Barnes any more.

They used to be a hot topic but you don't hear much these days?
