12 gauge reload.

Worth it or screw it. It seems a decent press is 3 times the US cost. It might be better i withhold a few dollars each week from consolidated revenue (wife ) to pay the difference.

I'd be checking the availability of components to reload before buying a press. I heard there were issues sourcing wads a while back, seems not many people reload for 12ga these days and components are difficult to source. Bronzewing shells were very cheap a while back so I bought a couple thousand which should last me a few years at least, 12ga is probably the only thing I'd never bother to reload as I think there's not a lot to be saved money wise.

Considering you can buy a slab of 250 for less than $80, hardly seems worth the effort. Unless you are seeking some sort of specialised load I can't see how it would be economical.

Thanks for confirming that guys. I'll put the money into ammo storage and enjoy trying a heap of different loads. Grabbing a slab or two everytime I'm in the city sounds more appealing

Not worth it for readily available loads as others have said. A Lee Load-All full size or junior is a fun way to load a few if you just want to play around. Second hand MEC presses also crop up commonly as people don't reload for 12gauge much. Can be worth it for 16, 28 and .410
I reload slugs which is fun albeit very slow! I just use a little Lee Load-All Junior, fine for my low volume loading. Wad availability is shocking. Powder and primers easy to find.
