.218B Brass

Post by Gunner » 26 Jun 2016, 5:20 pm

Does anyone know a source for .218B Brass? I found a website for an Australian company called A V Ballistics that seemed to manufacture it but emails to the addresses shown on the web page were returned unclaimed so I presume that the company has gone out of business.

I have a custom Martini that was originally chambered in .17 Ackley Hornet but I got frustrated with dirty barrels and splitting cases in the fire forming process and had it rebarrelled in .218B. Seems like I may have gone "out of the frying pan and into the fire"!

Both Bertram Brass and funny enough Winchester make brass to suit 218 bee.... Shouldn't be a problem to source some

Thanks for that but Bertram advised by phone this morning that it makes neither .218B nor 25-20W at present. There is a supplier in Canberra who has Winchester .218B on it's stock list but it is on back order. Actually, I have also emailed a number of suppliers in the USA and it seems to be a problem there also.
