Case trimming tools

Post by Pathmaster » 16 Nov 2013, 7:28 pm

I have been using the Lee case trimming tools (you know the little ones you can put in your drill or twist by hand) for a while now. So it is probably no surprise that I am completely over it!
I keep seeing the CTS case trimmer and the Little Crow WFT case trimmer in the USA, but no one seems to sell them in Australia.
Anyone know of a reseller or perhaps an Australian equivalent tools available here.
Looks like a winner to me.
Maybe someone here has a better idea?
Cheers....

Hmm, I actually really like the Lee one.

The cutting tool knob though is a massive pain to hold.

You using it as is? Or got a handle?

You want something like this -

I did a home made version with duct tape for the handle and it works just as well.

Much easier on the hands...

Either the CTS or the Little Crow will speed things up for you.

Setting the brass in the hell holder is the laborious bit.

Get rid of that obstacle and you'll be much faster.
Howa 'bout it?

I have no probs with setting the LEE in a drill press., but I only do about 25 at a time.

Got WFT for the .204 had some teething problems they need to be set up properly or they can cut too short.
Also my neck sized cases wouldn't fit, they had to be FLS. I let them know about it and they offered to fix it if I sent them back.
So I didn't bother with it for a while but things changed, they will fit now. ?

Others speak highly of the WFT.

I normally save up a bunch and do them in one sitting.

I can tell ya, when you've trimmed and chamfered 300 brass in once sitting you're glad to be finished
