And an obsession begins.....

You do realise that the missus will make you pay and keep on paying. The solution is to get her shooting centre fire and letting her reload her own rounds....
If you get stuck with anything have questions drop me a line during the week :)

Mmm, cost? Looks a little better than the lee kit. The lee kits are usually about $220 I think.

Certainly looks better than lee kit, but time will tell.
Lee kit is now $247 and this one was $469 so almost double.

At the moment im happy she is willing to shoot the 22 as she was so anti gun before. She fired my 308 and hated it lol. Maybe i can get her into 223 or someting down the track.

Yikes, big price difference. But with time should pay for its self, just a bit longer. Get her a 223, you want one anyway.

Good buy, If you can't get the thrower to work properly, you might have to polish all the paint off the inside, so the powder will flow. Also throw the scales away and buy a good set of beam scales. Mine weighed .4 of a grain heavy so all my loads were that amount light.

I'll pack a .223 for the trip north at Christmas if the timings right and she can go for her life with it.

If the scales are s**t I would return them. Having said that if they are . 4 grain out I wouldn't worry as long as they are consistent. Loads must be repeatable.

Should serve you well mate. I've got a set of the scales and I found them to be fairly good for what they are, from memory I compared them to my 505 RCBS beam scales and I think also to my RCBS Chargemaster and they were pretty consistent from memory, give them a go and see how they go I guess.

Starting to sound like the scales cannot be relied on. Not good considering their use.

If there consistently out i can live with that for now, but if there random i dont think i should be using them at all...when i get the components to start making them i will be checking thoroughly..

Here are the costs for one of my 223 loads. I used a calculator that I think was made available here. This ignores my time & assumes the cases are free. The main cost is always the projectile, so if you cast it drops a fair bit.

Those projectile were pretty cheap. But it gives you an idea.

If the scales are consistent it's OK. Half a grain out is not a huge deal. Use a test weight to check them each time you use them. I just use a SS Bolt that weighs about 200grains. You could use 2 , a light and heavy one if you wanted.
