Simple COAL Method.

Post by Oldbloke » 21 Nov 2016, 3:23 pm

I spotted this today and thought it might help the reloading beginers here. Its a variation on what I do, but looks very simple. My system simply does not use the texta and I take an average of 4 or 5. No tools required.

That's a good simple method I've used before as well, great to see it well presented.

That's the only way I've ever done it but I smoke the projectile with a candle instead of colouring it with a texta.

The carbon from the candle smoke shows the lands and any unwanted extraction of the projectile from jamming in the lands better.

I generally repeat the procedure atleast 20 times to ensure a good average as there is often a tiny bit of variation in measurements.

The big green one means good.

If it's red and looks like the letter X it's bad.
