My rifle is a Remington SPS 700 30-06 with a 24" stainless barrel and 1;10 twist
Cool.
30-06 usually comes in 1:10 and 1:12.
1:12 is well suited to the mid range weights like 150gr - 165gr but can top out around 180gr depending on the bullet.
1:10 will let you go a bit heaver to 200gr, or maybe 220gr. It'll probably handle whatever you want really.....
The catch with handloads is they're different for every rifle. You know... if there was 1 bullet that shot best in everything we wouldn't have a forum because that's what we'd all be shooting
You've got to test a few in your rifle to see what works well for it.
With the faster of the two common twist options though I'd probably start with some 180gr bullets as they're likely to be a good bet and try a few loads.
