Scratches on brass like those, I'm not too worried about but the extraction difficulty might be more of a problem. Is the bolt handle difficult to lift? Is there a bright, shiny mark on the case heads?

I have never had scratches that bad. But often get a few. Have you got a pic of the primer/head of the case?

These marks don't appear related to firing as they are too long. Have a good look at the chamber and see if there's any burrs on the feed ramp or at the bottom edge of the chamber.

Have used federal, gecko and nosler ammo. federal is the worst. No marks on the case head and no signs of over pressure other than some of the rounds are tight to extract. Was thinking it might be burrs or scratching in the chamber but cant really see anything with the naked eye .

Did you note which side of the brass is being scratched when chambered.

Would give you a hint as to where the issue lays. Then you can look at where might need a bit of a polish.

Yeah will get a marker and colour a few cases and take some notes. Not really happy with the customer service so far and for a rifle of this cost, would expect alot better.

Gotta agree with Brett, sounds like rough or burrs in chamber. Esp since each brand of ammo is different suggesting size makes a difference.
Check follower in the mag to I guess.

It has a metal magazine but will scratch brass even when a round is not stripped from the mag and placed directly into the chamber.

One of my Remington 700s did that from new. Turned out to be a sharp edges on the part just above the magazine that guides the cartridge into the breech. I used a bit of emery paper to remove the sharp edges and no more scratched brass.

Thankfully that's often the can with this stuff.

A slight cleanup and they can come good right away.
