Reloading doesn't make it cheaper, it allows you to shoot more for the same price..

I'd like to reload but just don't have the space for it or work bench :( how feasible is reloading via something like a lee hand press? or is that just really a pain?

Even for small number of reloads like around 20 - 40 rounds once a week? for 223.

You can do it... but i wouldn't. I find reloading tedious at the best of times. Doing it with a lee hand loader would drive me nuts!

But... you CAN do it. There's at least one or two people here that just use the Lee hand loader.

No worries. I guess I'll just have to see how i go later down the track. My lgs sells 20 rounds of 233 for around $30, cheapest is $25 for PPU 223. Is that the average price in QLD?

You could do those with a Lee Loader without too much trouble.
I have the Lee Hand Press as well but I've only used it for priming so far. I already have the bench press pretty well set up so it's dead easy to throw in some dies and churn out some ammo. The Hand Press was more of an option for loading at the range.

I love reloading 9mm...500+ rounds an hour through the Dillon, might get up to 1200 if I whip the boy :)

I use an arbour press with Wilson neck sizing/decaping and seating dies to reload for .260, .308 and 6.5x55 calibres. With thee tools you get high performance and very consistent  ammo for all applications. Your output per/hr will likely be lower than with a quality bench mounted by press but quality will be fine

If I picked up a hand loaded, theoretically, could I do everything I need to do to reload on that, plus a primer feeder?

You would also need dies and shell holder of course for each caliber.
But yes, you could load ammo using Lee-style powder dippers, one of which comes with their die sets.
I don't know of a primer feeder that would fit the hand press but I avoid primer feed systems anyway.
Try one of the stand-alone hand held priming tools if you prefer not to load primers manually.

I just had a look at the hand loader and it has a tool that seats the primer

So all I would need is
Lee hand loader
Powder measure
Dies and whatnot?

I feel like I might aswell go with the $240 kit at centreway

You don't need a powder measure. You can make quite effective ammunition simply using a scoop, but a beam scale would be the minimum I would suggest.
Do not confuse the Lee Loader with the Lee Hand Press, they are very different. The Lee Loader is a very simple full-length die for a specific caliber that you use with either a mallet or a vice. The hand-press is a complete ram-style press that is not mounted to a work surface.
I definitely recommend the Breech-Lock system and the Lee Collet dies, both make life very easy.

About 300 dollars for all the gear to start reloading doesn't sound bad at all

What's the price on .223 Rem bullets roughly

Huge variation from about 20c to $2 or more - depends on what you want to use them for.
Much less if you cast your own.

Can't recommend a Stirling 22. All indications on this forum is get the Norinco 22lr. Great value.
A22lr , 12g shotgun, 223 ba and 308 ba will cover almost every need in oz.

The Lee loader, will neck size and with care load good ammo. But I reckon the Lee kits for around $250.00 are pretty good value. There are two, Anniverery and Challenger, one has a few more bells and whistles. There is better for sure but I think unless you get into target shooting does the trick.

I always recommend the Lee kits to newbies. Excellent value for money. All you need to add are your dies and components and you are on your way. Due care and diligence will give top quality ammo even for the novice.
