223 neck sizing die

Post by KennyA » 27 Apr 2017, 9:26 am

Hi,

I'm about to try neck sizing my 223 brass over full length resizing after every firing.

Question.....

Are the Lee collet dies any good or should I spend the extra dollars for a better brand.
90% of my shooting is at the range so accuracy is important.

Suggestions welcomed.

Collet dies work well. I just bought one to replace my Hornady neck sizer for 7mm08. Much improved neck tension. SO much so i could feel the difference while seating rounds.

I had the same worries as you and tossed up between an expensive bushing die. Due to lack of cash, i ended up with the Lee collet and am happy i did.

Once you get the hang of it, I'd say it's the best option for neck sizing. I have a few, that's all I use 95% of the time.

My target rifle was a 223 and I used a Lee collet die after our club's guru recommended it.

Thanks for the speedy replies.
Looks like it's going to be the Lee Collet die for me.
Cheers

I only FLRS as I hunt and don't want any issues chambering. But have you considered using a FL Die and just back it off a bit. Sort of partial FLRS. But not quit neck sizing if you get my drift. A good option for hunters, may not be for you.
