I've shot roos with them; 165gns over Trail Boss (~1200fps) - sometimes bang flop, other times needed second to finish them off, probably mainly due to shot placement though. It's on my to-do list to see if I can retrieve one, not sure how they expand TBH, they're quite hard.

I've since settled on a single 2207 load now though; better for CASL and hunting, they're packing more heat now, so I'd be confident taking on a goat or a pig with one.

Yeah I'm keen on the 300gn 44 mag and the 500gn .458 ,both pushed as hard as practicable. I already shoot the 225gn 44 mag at around 900fps and it definitely doesn't expand

FWIW I successfully pushed the 165gns "Black Premiums" up to around 1800fps (over 2206); they were still quite stable with minimal leading. Judging by the recoil, they'd hit pretty hard, and accuracy was still plenty acceptable for hunting purposes at <=150yd . The only reason I regressed back to the milder 1500fps 2207 load came down to accuracy (for silhouette shooting) - that's what my Marlin 336 really likes.

I contacted them last night and they reckoned I could push them to 2000 which is fine as I doubt I can get much more than 1500 with the weights I want to use.
