Loaded up some heavy 44 mag loads today. One batch of 285gn gas check ranchdogs over 20gn of 2205,and one batch of Lee 310gn gas checks over 18gn of 2205. I'm excited ! :D

Well they're not great grouping. The 310gn managed a reasonably neat 3" group at 50m while the 285gn ones shot 4 into 3" but 1 blew it out to closer to 6". Might try upping the charge a bit

Have you tried the same loads without the gas checks?

I've been wondering about some experiments for my 44 lever.
