Hey fellas Im going to start reloading for my RPR .223

Anyone got tips for what projectiles go awesome in them, and what powder you use?

the ruger precision has a 1:7 twist barrel which is a very fast twist so it wont like to stabilize the 55gr projectiles but people have used them but the rpr will mostly favour the 60gr to 90gr as for powder ar2206h or ar2208 will be your safest starting point for good accuracy also dont forget to check out ADI powders website for load data

Personally, I have never noticed a HUGE problem when things are over-stabilised as against under-stabilised. They sort of "spray" 0.25 MOA as against arriving 2 metres away and sideways.

And then again, some really tight barrels don't mind light bullets - it's really difficult to tell what a particular rifle will or will not shoot.

:allegedly:

I have only seen good results when using a tighter barrel. Normally only one or 2 turns more than recommended for the bullet. Actually in some cases it could be said 3-4 turns. Bullet shape matters as well as length. Also with shorter barrels they need a tighter twist to stabilize a bullet that would have had a much slower recommendation for a longer barrel.
