tigersharkballistics pistol and rifle projectiles

Post by petemacsydney » 16 Jan 2018, 6:13 pm

Hi, i thought i had already asked this question on the forum but went back to search and couldn't find anything when i searched enoughgun just now.
Have any of you guys used tigersharkballistics.com.au for buying copper coated pistol projectiles?
keen to know what you thought in terms of quality/consistency/standard deviations etc etc and overall "goodness"???
cheers and thanks!
pete
p.s. the 223/308 rifle solid brass projectiles look pretty nice as well, but somewhat more expensive obviously

Oops in pistol. Tried some samples of his 158gr SWC too, didnt get around to testing them enough though.

This was my 1st test load at 10/15/20m from my factory GP100

I just ordered 500 9mm's to try in my Kimber 1911. They're on their way, same day dispatch, so far so good. Will give a report on how they shoot.

You and Brett need to get down to Bowral with those lever guns and send some steel tumbling.

when is the next bowral shoot on? is there a link? keep putting that idea off due to loads of family and work commitments - need to pull my finger out and stop making excuses and go on down.

i still have not sighted my 1894 in. didn't like the buckhorn sights so ordered skinner peep sights. a month after order i checked up on them and it had not yet sent. then they sent me the wrong one. checked yesyterday 2 weeks later and new one still not sent. the wrong one was brass vs blued so they told me i can keep the brass while i wait for the blued. i'll use it for sight in now and then replace with blued when that comes in.

most interesting sight in process for me will be filing down the new front post so it is right height. simple task, but a bit nervous about putting a file onto it. i did order some of the skinner blue which i used on a screw that i had to file down - awesome stuff that skinner blue. turns shiny steel into blue steel at the drop of a hat.

mine arrived. copper coating looks really really good and it is thicker than what i would have thought. took a knife blade to it and couldnt get to the lead quickly so then sanded one back.

measured 250 proji's with my dodgy digital scale - roughly 60/40 of 239gr/240gr respectively.

Okay, so I caught up with those in charge of running the shoots at Bowral.
For those that are interested, here is this years calendar and the details of the True Grit Shoot lever-gun silhouette shoot in February.
The club shoots ( CLAS ) are 40 shot matches, one of each, ( small-bore and pistol caliber ), plus some sighting in / practice before each.
Pete and Brett, I'm planning on attending the two shoots in February if you wanted to meet up.
