6mm Creedmoor load data anyone?

Post by chriso72 » 21 Jan 2018, 9:29 am

Hi Good People,

Just wondering if anyone has any load data using ADI powders for the 6mm Creedmoor? I'm using the 105gn VLD Bergers with AR2209 (62gn) and am experiencing some pressure problems. It may be that the rifle is new?? Should I go with a slightly slower powder AR2213SC for the 105's? I have some 65gn V-max projectiles that I fired and they have no over-pressure indications. I've chrono'ed them at 3450fps while the 105 Bergers are a little over 3000fps.

Accuracy is not that crash hot either. Around 1 MOA for both @ 100m. I have the Ruger Precision Rifle.

Can anyone help or give me some advise who has one of these guns and uses ADI powders please? :unknown:

Thanks

I am guessing the 62gn ar2209 is typo. What cases are you using?
I wouldn't be too worried accuracy early on. Maybe you just haven't found the bullet/powder combo the gun likes. But I usually find the groups start to tighten up after 100 or so shots have been down the barrel.

Ruger precision? Do you mean 6.5mm Creedmore? Or did you rebarrel it to 6mm?

Thanks guys for the replies. Yes it is a 6mm and yes its a typo. I meant 42 grains of AR2229. The pressure signs I was talking about was the extruding of the primer into the firing pin hole in the bolt.

Does anyone who has a 6mm creedmoor have any load date at all using ADI powders please?

Thanks
