No sled Shots?

Post by pedro4977 » 18 Apr 2018, 6:06 pm

Gday all, new here so go easy on me!

Just wondering do any of you have any experience with, or heard anything about the nosier ‘shots’ .224 projectiles. Have seen them as low as $18 per hundred for sale and just wondering if they are alright performance and accuracy wise, mainly for shooting foxes, rabbits and informal target practice. I’m shooting a .222 rem mag and a .222 k rimmed.
Any thoughts? I could buy 100 and shoot a few groups but I’m a bit of a tightarse and having not purchased any reloading components for a long time until recently, I got a bit of a surprise at the cost. Ahh well! Nothing much fun comes cheap these days

Used these in my tikka and was consistently shooting half MOA at 100m. I love them

Lol the tips are a bit mongaloid sometimes- but they’re still a good bullet! We shoot em through the 204. I like where your heads at OP - IMO unless your shooting benchrest or F it’s a damned wast of money buying high quality consumables! They’ll put holes in heads mark my words.

You could try Hornady ZMax which come in 40, 50 and 55 grains and can be had for $90 per 500. I have had good results with them.

the shots stands for "shooting, hunting or target shots"
IMO they are very good
can I ask where you have bought them from?
