“Pard” opinions ?

What are the general opinions of the Pard range of thermal optics ? Are they complicated or easy to use, reliable, good quality, etc

Any particular reason on why you want thermal .
after getting my hic micro alpex 4K night vision scope only took me to months went out and bought another one I have absolutely no interest in thermal scopes what so ever not after using these two I actually am thinking of a thermal monocular for driving around the paddock but then I've been told they don't work when you're trying to look through a windscreen

May-in-Chyna mate.
Eeeeeech.
Why would you move away from Pulsar, don't you use this quality European brand now for your night-time dog elimination activities?
Unless I'm mistaken.

DJ spends a lot of time staking out places where farmers and rural homesteaders are being hammered by wild dogs, he does sit-and-wait ambush-style methods after daytime inspection out of a place usually, and has a lot of patience and is pretty good at it.
Good clear quality thermal gear is a very good option for him or others like him, rather than spotlights that can scare things off.

Farming families out this way are getting great results using thermal scopes in and around their crops against the raiding wallabies and pigs, which destroy anything and ruin their income. It's not just dogs. But all of us out here know spotlighting for, and baiting dogs, is not as successful as a bloke with patience sitting and waiting in the dark for them to come through that fence hole and cause murderous mischief.

There just aren't many blokes like DJ that have the patience and time, to do this type of control.
Oh there are plenty of grandstanders, like some of the show-offs on Youtube, doing it for fame and freebies, but not DJ.

Yep I've been doing the same around here for 40 odd years for roos rabbits dogs and cats one place in particular is right on the edge of town on one fence line it's 6" wooden Urban backyard fence hence the reason I carry a chain and a padlock so when I go through the gate a lock it and yes it's to keep the cops out if you're after foxes and dogs they come in the paddock with their red and blues on you're done for the night would be a good way to keep dogs and foxes off the property until they get used to it.
Suppose it's just a preference thing one of my mates has some pretty up market thermal I just prefer the night vision the Clarity is unbelievable .

Dead easy to use. Very reliable. Quslity is okay and they are cheap. Ive got 3 pard NV and one thermal. The thermal is the pard Pantera 256Q which i bought off ebay for $872. Now they are about $1300. Ive used it for a year up to 300 weatherby. They have reasonable eye relief but not as hood as their 100mm night vision. Use a standard 18650 battery. I like their light weighr and form factor.

 Nah Mate,, Not moving away from the Pulsar gear. It serves me very well.
I was asking about the Pard on behalf of a friend who is looking around for an entry level thermal scope.
