So Leo M8 Scope has turned up and now sits proudly on a steyr 06.
AM LOVING the eye relief on this scope and la k of weight - I’m no where near being scoped like I have been with a few others - think it’s about 4.5 inches relief...
It is true what many are saying about mAgnification with 6x, this is going to be a little difficult to manage - anything inside 50-60m is likely to be relatively safe unless time is on my side, but 50-200m (maybe a lil further) appears to be this scopes playground. Field view is a little tighter than I’d hoped but I’m liking what I’m seeing regardless. Beautiful optics and very fine reticle.
Trying to dial in was a learning experience - all my previous scopes were moa, this one is mil. So without knowing what I was doing, I had billets going farken everywhere.
It’s 3 inches left...1 full rotation should be right. Bang...s**t. 6 inches to right. So, halve that back the other way...crap - 2 inches movement. Whattttt theeee heck.
Oh thank you internet and connection. 3.25 inches per mil...right.
100m and shooting factory rounds to 1 inch...thank you, that will do me for now...now - where are the 06 dies for sale to tighten this up.
Edit. 1 day later, Took a few more shots
Whilst getting a load of wood - 4 inch group. What the heck??...closer inspection shows the cheap ass ring screws have backed off - suspect from the recoil - think I’ve just answered my own question re cheap rings...lol.
