For some reason I though lightforce started making scopes and called the sub company nightforce. True ? Or have I got it totally wrong

Same bloke owns both companys. He grew up in adelaide and ended up moving to the US to develop optics because they had a better market

Nightforce still has some of the original if not the original guys in SA. They have an excellent service center there and can restore a bent and broken unit to as new.

that is a cracker of a story, I especially like Dennis's quote on what Australia was like

"In Australia it was then still a free country, where you could go hunting, go shooting, and no one really frowned upon you if you had a rifle on your back while riding on a motorbike through a city to get into the hills to shoot rabbits."

the guy is a legend, thanks heaps for putting the story up :drinks:

I enjoyed reading that, I knew a bit about the company but that filled in the blanks. An Aussie battler come good, go the dentist.

I don't think a dentist could ever be called a "battler"

Little Aussie guy takes on industry giants,Leupold, Weaver, Ziess, S&B and Khales and wins a huge market share. Quite inspirational.

Actually don't call the tradie a battler. Around me ist either electricians, plumbers, concreters or builders buying up multimillion dollar properties...or doing multimillion dollar renovations on properties they recently bought for between 1-2m.
Blame it on the phone auto correct
