Weaver KT16 scope info

Anyone know anything about old Weaver fixed power scopes?
Specifically one marked as 'KT16'.
Front tube is obviously adjusting focus - wondering what the back tube adjusts? Or is it just unscrewing it to access the lenses?
Eyebox seems reeeaaallly small...

The ocular ring is for focusing the reticle to your eye.
The objective ring focuses parallax.
If it's a 16-power, the eyebox would indeed be small.

Outstanding - thanks very much.
I'm not familiar with Weaver's or fixed power scopes at all.
Not the easiest of scopes to use for spotlighting... but it does have quite nice glass.

The older Weavers have quite a following.
Fixed 16-power would be tough for hunting :-)

The so called 'El Passo' Weaver scopes were only of middling quality in their day, as were Leupold scopes of that era, principally due to lens quality BUT remember that a rifle scope is not a camera lens. It's principal function is to provide accurate aim at a target which they all adequately did.
I have a KT 12 from that era.
I also have Japan made 2 1/2x and 6x Weaver scopes which leave nothing to be desired.
I have never come across any of the later Chinese or elsewhere versions of reborn Weaver scopes so don't have an opinion on them.

It's been years since I was shooting with one, I can't even remember the model to be honest, but remember I was always happy with it. Great to look through, and felt robust.

I only sold it as it went as a kit with a rifle I was moving on. If not for that, would be happy to still be using it.

Weaver started making scopes in El Paso Texas and they were named the K series. This company folded in the early 80s, perhaps 1984, and the Brand was relaunched with production in Japan and the T Series. I am not sure where the KT16 fits in but if it was made in the 70s it would have been made in the USA.
