Affordable handgun scope for .357 .44?

Hi

I would like to try a scope on my pistol for Met Sil. I was after a Leupold M8 with extended eye relief in perhaps 2x but haven't seen any for sale. I'm happy to buy used and the cheaper the better. That said most information on the webs is about rifle scopes and the naming convention of Leupold/Bushnell/Nikon is quite confusing and changes regularly meaning I end up having to google search every scope I see.

Any suggestions, even superseded models i might look out for?
