Leupold Dual Spring Precision Adjustments

As far as I can make out, this "Feature", is found on Leupold's VX3 series. Does it mean that precise adjustments last longer than models without it? I know that the adjustment mechanism is the "weak link" in an accurate firearm, being the first thing to fail (mostly). I have had it fail on 3 brands.
What do you think? Is it any good for someone who expects to do a lot of knob twirling?

I have 3 vx3 1 vx3i set up with S1 dials and 2 nxs and all I can say is if you are going to use dials buy a scope that was designed to do it .

The VX III's have been proven performers for me and a lot of others in rifle metallic silhouette for years. We're constantly adjusting up and down for the various distances our targets are set at. Depending on the range and their target set up, you could be cranking on your turrets 16 times or more in a day. ( in 80 shot matches )
You need to have faith that the scope will adjust to your pre-determined settings each and every time. I've been running "Leuies" for over twenty years and have yet to have one fail. ( Touches wood )
One "trick" that a lot of shooters use, is to wind up past your setting by a few minutes and then wind back down to it so that you are always compressing the springs to the setting rather than hoping the reticule will follow "up". Seems to work. Of course I'm speaking of the scopes with "target" turrets here.
