Anything special about Meopta binoculars

Anyone used the Meopta binoculars?

I know they make some good scopes, looking at their 10x42 Meopro binos... Not exactly cheap though at $549.

Don't mind spending a little extra if they'll last longer or do the job better.

Anyone used?

Just my opinion I reckon you're crazy to spend big money on binos.

I have a pair of $50 binos that I picked up at some sports place and for hunting, camping etc. they're fine.

They're not clear enough to be measuring groups at a few hundred metres, but they're big enough to see an animal moving along.

I guess you want these for the field too right? Not the bench?

In need of a spotting scope for the bench but that's another topics...

I have a cheap $100 set of Tasco spotting scopes for the bench and they're fine out to 200m but beyond that they're useless.

You'll have to spend some $$ for clarity. Especially when you are trying to spot holes on black targets.

I hunt in cane fields but mostly play around at the range so no bino's for me thank god! Everything else costs enough!

No it's just culling for the farmers.

It's pretty awesome stuff, real close quarters.

You only get a split second to get a shot off, they're so fast it's not funny! We also use dogs to flush them from the thick cane. It's mostly all at night as well. Crazy stuff.

That's why I use open sights on a lever action, there's just no time to look through a scope! I've never hunted out in the open fields before, but I'm sure it'll happen one day

I like the open field stuff.

A lot slower pace than pig hunting in those fields obviously... Long range it's good to have enough time to steady your shot free-hand or get on the bipod if you can go prone for stability.

Having a deer walk out 200m in front of you in a field is something...

Quite a sense of anticipation in those seconds before sending a shot out.
