Which scope to buy?

Post by andym79 » 25 Apr 2014, 5:34 pm

As it seems my Tasco scope is stuffed, I am looking to buy a sub $250 scope for my rim fire!

So far I have narrowed the choice to

Nikon 6725, Prostaff Rimfire Riflescope, 3-9x40mm $175 delivered
Burris Rimfire 3-9X40mm $165 delivered
Weaver 849431, Rimfire 2.5-7x 28mm $237 delivered
Redfield 118450 Battlezone .22 Scope, 2-7x34mm $239 delivered

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

I have the Burris was 150 at my lgs and seemed ok to look through..

Most shops seem to use them on .22 packages so can't be too bad I guess

I have a leupold VXi 2-7x33 rimfire on one of my .22's and at $270 I'm very happy with it.

I've got a bushnell banner 4-12 which was about $180 from HPGS, have it on my 22 and it works great

I've got a Weaver 40/44 which was about that much. A bit more maybe?

Good scope for the money though. Clearer than a few of the other cheapies I looked at at the time like the Bushnell Banner.

I like Weaver scopes too. One of the best for the money IMO.

I've got a Grand Slam and it's very good fro the money.

I'd pick another Weaver of the brands listed there.

Weaver here.

Always seemed better to me than the other brands for the same price.
