Don't you mean no more than ?

Btw,I have a mate with 2 1-4×20 vortex crossfires and a 2-7×32 vortex crossfire for sale for $225 each if you're keen

Good choice. Down side is 20mm objective will not perform well in low light.

The 2-7 would be a better choice.

Life is a compromise.

Perhaps a fixed mag. They tend to have a wider field of view and light weight. Say, 4x40.

Have you got mates?

I had a Tasco World Class 3-9x on my 25/06 for years and it would shoot half inch groups.

I bought a World Class in about 1988. Had a few knocks in the field chaisng pigs over the years, but still working to this day.

I paid $465 for the Leopold 1 year ago. It was about $100 difference back then. The Leopold are about $550 now.
You should be happy with the Vortex.

Depends on your use and country your hunting in.

This my take on sights.

Open country, smaller targets 4-12×40

**General purpose I'd go 3-9×40.

**Scrubby shorter ranges go 2-7×32

Really thick stuff
1-5×?
Reflex
Red dot
Peep or open sights

** i think these would be the most common used

Larger field of view, easy to acquire the target quickly in the scope. It can get confusing if you have a scope on high power in the bush every tree bush looks the same. If the target is not in the scope when you first shoulder it finding the target can be difficult.

I second that . Vortex also has a lifetime warranty even if you bought it secondhand .

That reminds me , JohnV, that Jackie Schultz once said words to the effect that a scope's internal reticle adjustment mechanism was its "Weakest Link".
