Meopta Meopro 4-12x50mm

Hey,

I'm looking at a new scope for hunting and the Meopta Meopro 4-12x50mm looks good.

One thing I wondered though, they're only $590 which seems great for a good quality 50mm objective, right?

I always read Meopta glass is pretty good. Who's using one? That right?

I'm no expert on either scope, but I have heard Meopta glass is even better than Zeiss. I'm sure a few more knowledgeable folks could chime in though.

I had a 6 x 40 meopta and wish I had never sold it with the rifle.

Meopta is top quality glass, I have looked through a few.

I was suss on them too about the price, seriously good glass though IMO like the blokes have said.

For the price, definitely a winner.

I've got the 4-12x50 and love it.

That's a bold claim, some of those Zeiss are pretty damn sharp.

Some say that Meopta make the glass for a lot of the leading euro companies. They spend less on advertising so you get more for your dollar.

I have the 3-9x42 and the 4-12x50. My next scope will be you guessed it another Meopta. I've had/have Leupold VX3, Vortex PST, Bushnell Elite and I just keep going back to the Meopta. They have everything you need and nothing you don't.

Plus there meopro have the right sizes for hunting rifles.
3-9x
4-12x
6-18x

The Meostar are even better again I hunt with a guy that has a 4-16x44 and its the best scope I have looked through yet.

Interesting. I'd be curious to know who they're making for if that's true.

Time to do some googling.

Thanks guys.

I'm feeling pretty confident reading here and a bunch of other reviews.

Getting the funds together but it's looking like I'll be going with Meopta.

Nothing wrong with Meopta.

If you're happy with what you've put your eye to I'd just get it.

There is always another scope to look at and you'll be researching for ever.

I have a 3-9x50 meopro on a 223 t3, it is without a doubt the finest scope I own.

I'm about to put a 4-12x50 on a .270, cant wait.

So I know this is a 2 year old post but hey that's what the search bar is for haha. Did you end up buying the scope i'm tossing up between the Meopta MeoPro 4-12x50 and the VORTEX DIAMONDBACK HP 3-12x42 BDC. Just wondering if the Meopta was all that its cracked up to be?

I dunno why people get grumpy over resurrecting old posts sometimes.

If you've got something to add or ask on the topic, do it.

I just bought a meopta 4-12-50 meopro, to mount on a stainless howa varmint. ...The guy at the gun shop highly recommended it ...Initially I was going to buy a vortex, however after extensive research and a few calls i settled on a meopta....There are always haters on the net , i couldn't find much bad news about meopta....everything is new an including leoupold rings for $1450.00 plus $45 postage and $70 dealer fee, to ship from qld to Braidwood.... can't wait to see howa it turns out... (that was ment to be a joke, not a typo....)
