Burris Signature Rings

Post by Mattj82 » 16 Nov 2014, 12:57 am

Hello All

I am looking at using Burris Signature rings to mount my scope, and was just wondering of anyone has any experience with them? I also am struggling to find a dealer in Australia where I can order online... any help appreciated!

I really like them, I've used them for quite a long time now and would recommend them.

I have only ever used the Zee Signature rings, they mount to a weaver - picatinny base.

The insert idea is very good, they protect the scope from ring marks and you get the added bonus of built in moa elevation if you want to.

I have never needed to use the inserts for extra elevation, but something that isn't talked of much is the ability to centre your scope when first mounting it.

Starting out the sighting in process with a scope that needs very little adjustment is beneficial for lots of reasons.

If you can't find a dealer happy to order them for you try ebay. I like buying from Midwayaustralia because his prices are good and his service is excellent

Magnum Sports in Sydney have always been happy to order and ship anything I've needed.

Give them a call.

Isn't that pretty standard?

I've know the Leupold rings have the adjustable rear to centre your scope?

The inserts won't just push on the scope and apply rings as well?

On some, not on others.

Leupold do it on some of their rings as you said. On the other hand Ruger factory rings aren't adjustable.

Others do or don't have the option, those are just the 2 I can think of right now.

They contract more evenly around the tube instead of applying top and bottom pressure only.
