What does the recticle look like? Won't really need mill dots for a .22

Doesn't have the full mil-dot spread, just has 3 holdover points for 75, 100 and 125 (assuming you zero at 50).

I've used a few of the Bushnell AR line scopes, they're quite good.

Definitely enough for a .22.

More than enough.

Handy with the hold over points

Only seen that before on centrefire scopes, not rimfire.

Whatever option you go for check if they have adjustable parallax or not.

A lot of .22 scopes are fixed at 50m. Fine if that's all you want to shoot at but will hurt accuracy if you want to shoot further or at varied distances.

Adjustable is usually always preferred.

.22 's should be fitted with dedicated .22 scopes - parallax needs to be correct and on most standard scopes its not set for short .22 ranges, and don't get carried away with desire for high magnification and overly complex reticules - a trend that most often isn't needed at all

Yep.

If parallax is fixed on a scope intended for a CF rifle it will typically be for 100, not 50 as you'd want for a 22lr.

That'll be chipping away at your accuracy constantly to have it wrong.

You don't need a $$$$ scope for 50m and a .22

The Bushnell will be fine.

Reticles are getting out of control these days.

Some of them feel like they're 75% glass 25% reticle coverage.

This thread has been very helpful for aiding me choose my first scope. CZ455 coming in 2 weeks!!

I was wondering what mounts would you guys recommend as I've read that the bolt lift is a little high compared to other rimfires.

On another hand, the retailers must be having a blast here in OZ, same Bushnell - 2-7x 32mm, AUD 135 in USA vs AUD 199 in OZ!! What a damm ripoff!!

Could work.... If you can't see your target you know it's hiding behind the reticle so you're dead on

I reckon the Nikon Prostaff rimfire scope is good value.

Its not a BAD example by any means if you factor postage and a small profit margin...

try a Limbsaver Airtech slip on recoil pad (moulded piece of rubber ffs!)
USD $26 vs

here Best price AUD $79 + $11 post -> over $100 :shock:

They're not the absolute cheapest but there not overly expensive either.

A Leupold VX-1 is hard to beat for a first scope IMO.

For 50m rimfire you don't need to drop a fortune on a scope (Don't go super cheap and crappy though obviously)

Someone is laughing all the way to the bank over that.

How much could a bit of plastic and bit of rubber cost to stick together and into a pack. Made in large quantities it would be single digit $ I'd bet.
