Like it says... Any suggestions?

I don't want to pay big bucks for it either.

What's it's main use going to be?
What sort of country is it mainly going to be used in (scrub/open)
What sort of $$ are you willing to spend?

Try ozhut.com.au they have a largeish range. They also have a store in Bayswater vic. If that helps.
And if today is the day you call me home,
oh lord,
may I die in a pile of brass with the smell cordite lingering in the air

As used by the Australian SAS and several world champion BR shooters.

I have to stop dreaming :( ....check out the range of Vortex scopes from http://www.extravision.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=36&sort=2a&filter_id=16 which are a good balance between cost and quality with a warranty unmatched by many others.

Brett, PM me your email address and I'll send you some photo's of the actual March FX FFP 5-40x56mm Tactical that is in use in Afganistan. They aren't for publication on a Forum.

Close to the right scope wrong firearm... it's mounted on a .50 Cal Barrett.

The one you pictured is close to Stuart's own Tactical Rifle but not quite. This one is a Stolle.

Will be used in 50m range. I'm willing to spend somewhere between $100 and $250

These can be had for around $199, leaving a little left over for rings. If you're just shooting paper or fur @ 50m then the Bushnell seems to be a good balance of price vrs performance. The cheapest Leupold VX-1 is over your budget and I don't know much about most other brand scopes so cannot comment.

I paid about that for a sightron 3-9x40 Rifle Scope. Nice and clear and seems reliable.

50m isn't asking much of a scope.

Basic Leupold, Bushnell, Redfield would all do.

Didn't know you can shoot game at a range. Thanks for the replies fellas. I might go with the Bushnell 3-12X40 in the link above.

Check your PMs

I have a brand new Redfield 3-9x40 which is the perfect power and they are not too badly priced. I am sure we can do a deal, and it is brand new.
