New Classic Delta 3-9x40mm scope

Post by joker » 13 Sep 2015, 11:23 am

It's true what they say only when your not looking for something you will find it.

I just happened to come across a classic delta 3-9x40 and it seemed OK so I ended up picking it up.

Any thoughts on the scope and if they are any good or not?

Yeh, it's going on my puma Hunter. 22

Any input would be great so I know if I should have the scope put on the .22 or not

That looks great not 100% sure if its suits a .22 but it should, might need a day down the range now

Why do you think it won't suit a .22

A Day at the range sounds good. I want to go soon as I won't have much time on my hands after the snappers arrive lol

There is nothing stopping you from putting it on your .22, it's just not designed specifically for one. Not missing any features you need though so a mute point really.

Mil-dot reticle right? Example of not being specifically for a .22 there as you won't be determining target sizes and long ranges with it but it'll shoot fine with it.

Mil dot is correct.

Well that's good to know. Hopefully I'll be able to drop it off after work today to have the scope mounted on.

Although I'm still curious to what people rate it as a scope. Is it considered a bottom range middle, etc

If you have all the parts it can be done at home.

Added the mounts and rings is just a matter of a few screws.

I would think most places would do it for you for free if you're buying there? Otherwise DIY at home.

Mount scope - check

I went past the gun shop after work today and got it done. Cost me 45 for the rings and since I bought the gun there they didn't charge for fitting.

Hopefully it increases my vision so that I will be able to locate that little bunny rabbit rummaging on the forest floor

I'd expect any store that you bought from to fit for free

I would think so although I don't have great expectations these days with some people lol.

But the guys there were very good and helpful :)

They earned your business then

Too many shops expect it and treat customers like s**t. One run in like that and I write 'em off and go elsewhere.

I'm with you on that granting. I've already put a big 'X' on some shops already, in my books.
