After many years of just using a screw driver / allen key, I bought a "Wheeler FAT wrench" set.
Can some-one give me a more precise figure for using it, to torque scope rings and mounts ?
The Wheeler is in inch/pounds.

I thought the wrench came with a list of common settings for different size screws? Remember that alloy items will often have different settings from steel items. Brownells once did a very good article on settings for various parts, so you may want to chase that article up, Cheers.

I settled on 20"lb and it is holding well on my 7-08. There are articles and ratings online. I think the NZ site Brett was talking about is Nathan Forsters web site, http://www.ballisticstudies.com
